CompositionStimucor 5 Tablet is used to treat hormone-sensitive breast cancer in women after menopause. It is a single-ingredient aromatase inhibitor containing letrozole.
It is used on its own or after surgery or radiotherapy to help prevent the cancer returning, and it is also used to help trigger ovulation in fertility treatment. Take it at a fixed time in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Long-term use can affect bone strength, so do regular weight-bearing exercise such as walking and include calcium and vitamin D in your diet (milk, curd, ragi) as advised by your doctor.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have bone thinning or liver problems and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take; your doctor may check your bones. When used for breast cancer, it is meant for women after menopause. Report persistent bone or joint pain to your doctor. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
