Glimip Mf/0.5 Sr Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Control of blood glucose levels

• Improving glycaemic control with diet and exercise

• Treatment of insulin resistance

• Reduction of glucose production by the liver

• Enhancement of insulin sensitivity in tissues

• Regulation of carbohydrate metabolism

• Supplementing inadequate insulin production

• Supporting pancreatic beta cell function

Follow these instructions while taking Glimip Mf/0.5 Sr Tablet 10:

• Take this medicine orally as directed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Glimip Mf/0.5 Sr Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (0.5 mg): This ingredient belongs to the sulfonylurea class and works by stimulating the pancreatic beta cells to release more insulin. It binds to specific receptors on these cells, closing certain channels that trigger insulin release into your bloodstream.

• Metformin (500 mg): This biguanide component activates an enzyme called AMPK (adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase).
