• Corticosteroids: Medicines like prednisolone may reduce the glucose-lowering effect of Glimet Tablet.

• Oral Contraceptives: Common birth control pills containing estrogen and progestin may reduce the effectiveness of Glimet Tablet in controlling blood sugar levels.

• Calcium Channel Blockers: Medicines such as amlodipine or diltiazem might decrease the effectiveness of Glimet Tablet.

Glimet Tablet has interactions with certain types of food:

• High-fibre Foods: These foods may decrease the absorption of glipizide, reducing its effectiveness.

Glimet Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Severe Renal Impairment: If you have severe kidney disease, using Glimet Tablet could lead to unwanted side effects due to the accumulation of metformin.

• Congestive Heart Failure: The use of Glimet Tablet in people suffering from heart failure requiring medical treatment could increase the risk of lactic acidosis.

• Hepatic Impairment: If you have liver disease, your body’s ability to remove metformin may be reduced, increasing the risk of lactic acidosis.
