Fusigen Powder 10Gm

Fusigen Powder 10gm is used to:

• Treat bacterial skin infections
• Manage infected cuts, wounds, and abrasions
• Treat infections in moist skin folds
• Treat minor skin injuries that have become infected
• Support the healing of superficially infected skin areas

Follow these instructions while using Fusigen Powder 10gm:

• Apply the powder exactly as advised by your doctor.
• Clean and gently dry the affected skin before application.
• Sprinkle a thin layer over the infected area.
• Wash your hands before and after application.
• Apply carefully to avoid inhaling the powder, especially when applying near the face or in children.
• Do not tightly cover the treated area unless advised by your doctor.

Fusigen Powder 10gm is applied topically.

Fusigen Powder 10gm contains the following active component:

• Sodium fusidate (20 mg): This is a topical antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins needed for their growth and multiplication. By stopping bacterial growth at the infection site, the medicine helps clear the infection and allows the skin to heal, leading to a gradual reduction of redness and irritation.

• Store below 25°C in a dry place.
• Keep the container tightly closed after use.
• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Keep infected skin areas clean and dry: Gently clean the affected area with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly, especially in skin folds, as moisture can encourage bacterial growth and delay healing.
• Wear loose, breathable clothing: Cotton or moisture-absorbing fabrics help reduce sweating and friction, which can otherwise irritate infected skin and slow recovery, particularly in areas like the groin, underarms, or skin folds.
• Avoid scratching or picking at infected areas: Scratching may worsen irritation, spread infection to nearby skin, and delay healing. Keeping nails short and covering lesions if necessary, may help reduce accidental scratching.
• Avoid sharing towels or personal items: Bacteria can spread through shared towels, clothing, or bedding. Using clean personal items and washing them regularly helps prevent reinfection and protects others in the household.
