Cypon Drops may interact with the following medications:

• Central nervous system (CNS) depressants: Medicines like diazepam and clonazepam can increase the drowsiness and sedation caused by Cypon Drops.
• Anticholinergic medications: Medicines like atropine can further result in unwanted side effects when given along with these drops.
• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs): MAOIs like selegiline and phenelzine can prolong and intensify the sedative effects of the medicine.
• Serotonergic medications: Medicines like fluoxetine and sertraline can reduce the effectiveness of Cypon Drops when given concomitantly.

Cypon Drops may interact with the following foods:

• Grapefruit juice: Giving grapefruit juice to drink while on this medication might increase cyproheptadine hydrochloride levels in your child's body, enhancing its side effects.

Cypon Drops may interact with the following diseases:

• Glaucoma: Since cyproheptadine hydrochloride may increase eye pressure, it could worsen glaucoma.
• Cardiovascular disease: With its potential to cause increased heart rate or palpitations, Cypon Drops should be given cautiously if your child has a heart condition.
• Hyperthyroidism: If your child has an overactive thyroid gland, their symptoms might be aggravated by these drops.

Your child's daily dose of Cypon Drops should be as prescribed by the doctor. This dosage may vary based on factors such as the severity of the condition and the child's response to treatment.

If you mistakenly give your child more than the prescribed dose of the medicine, they might feel overly drowsy or confused. In such a case, inform the doctor immediately.
