Fusigen Spray is a topical antibiotic used to treat localised bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected eczema and infected wounds. It contains fusidic acid, an antibiotic effective against many common skin bacteria.
Fusidic acid works by stopping bacteria from producing the proteins they need to grow and multiply, which allows the body's own defences to clear the infection.
Spray a thin layer onto the affected area two to as prescribed, or as your doctor advises, and continue for the full course even if the skin appears to have improved, to help clear the infection.
Avoid spraying near the eyes, mouth or open wounds beyond the area being treated. Tell your doctor if the infection does not improve within the expected time, or if it spreads or worsens, since a change in treatment may be needed.
