Flutibact Ointment is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial skin infections accompanied by inflammation, swelling, and itching. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as infected eczema, dermatitis, impetigo, prickly heat (miliaria), and insect bite reactions.
It contains an antibiotic (Mupirocin) and a topical corticosteroid (Fluticasone). It works by destroying infection-causing bacteria while reducing localised skin redness, itching, and swelling. Apply a thin layer only to the affected area as directed by your doctor.
Proper skin hygiene helps support healing during treatment. Wash your hands before and after applying the ointment, keep the affected area clean and dry, and avoid scratching or covering the treated area unless advised by your healthcare provider.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any open deep wounds, viral skin infections, or known allergies to corticosteroids or antibiotics. It is for external use only. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
