FIXCOF COFGELS 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Other antihistamines (e.g., loratadine, cetirizine, fexofenadine): Taking multiple antihistamines together can increase drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, or blurred vision. Avoid combining unless specifically advised by your doctor.
• MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, tranylcypromine): May increase the risk of high blood pressure or severe side effects when used with phenylephrine. Inform your doctor if you are taking MAO inhibitors.
• Sedatives, sleep medicines, or alcohol: Can increase drowsiness and dizziness caused by chlorpheniramine. Avoid alcohol or sedative drugs while taking this capsule.
• Medications for heart conditions or high blood pressure (e.g., beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers): Phenylephrine may raise blood pressure or heart rate, requiring monitoring in sensitive patients.
• Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and other antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, escitalopram): Concomitant use with dextromethorphan may increase serotonin levels in the body, raising the risk of serotonin-related side effects such as restlessness, confusion, rapid heartbeat, sweating, or tremors. Inform your doctor if you are taking antidepressant medicines before starting this capsule.
• Other cough/cold medicines containing dextromethorphan: May cause excessive cough suppression or increased side effects such as dizziness or nausea. Avoid combining without doctor advice.

Avoid drinking large amounts of acidic juices (such as orange or lemon juice) around the time you take this medicine, as they may irritate the stomach or make some people feel more uncomfortable after taking the capsule.

FIXCOF COFGELS 10 should be used with caution if you have:

• High blood pressure or heart disease: Phenylephrine can raise blood pressure and heart rate, which may worsen pre-existing hypertension, angina, or arrhythmias. Your doctor may need to monitor your blood pressure and adjust other medications.
• Thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism): Phenylephrine may increase sensitivity, potentially causing palpitations, rapid heartbeat, or nervousness. Monitor for cardiovascular symptoms and consult your doctor if they occur.
• Glaucoma (angle-closure): Chlorpheniramine can increase intraocular pressure, worsening angle-closure glaucoma. Patients should consult an ophthalmologist before use.
• Prostate enlargement or urinary retention: Antihistamines like chlorpheniramine may worsen urinary retention, causing difficulty in urination. Seek medical advice if you notice new or worsening urinary symptoms.
• Seizure disorders: Use with caution in patients with seizure disorders, as central nervous system effects may increase seizure risk in susceptible individuals.

Taking more than the prescribed amount may increase the likelihood of side effects such as drowsiness, confusion, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, nausea, or stomach discomfort. Seek medical help immediately if an overdose is suspected.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
