Fenofibron 160 Tablet 10

FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 is used to lower high triglycerides and cholesterol in adults, including raising HDL cholesterol, as part of managing mixed dyslipidaemia and hyperlipidaemia that cannot be controlled by diet alone, to reduce the long-term risk of heart disease.

Uses of FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 are:

• High Triglycerides: Helps lower elevated triglyceride levels.

• Cholesterol: Lowers bad cholesterol and raises good cholesterol.

• Heart Risk: Better lipid control helps reduce the long-term risk of heart disease.

• Swallow the medicine whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with meals for better absorption.

• Do not crush, break or chew the medicine.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 contains fenofibrate (160 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• PPAR-Alpha Activation: Fenofibrate activates a protein called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha), which regulates how your body processes fats.

• Enhanced Lipid Metabolism: It increases the breakdown of fats in your bloodstream, helping your body process and eliminate excess fatty substances more efficiently.

• LDL and Triglyceride Reduction: The medicine reduces the production and improves the clearance of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides, which are harmful fats that can build up in your blood vessels.

• HDL Elevation: It significantly raises the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, often called "good" cholesterol, which helps remove other forms of cholesterol from your bloodstream.

• Store FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 at room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep the medicines in their original packaging until you need to use them.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store safely out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use FENOFIBRON 160 TABLET 10 after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Follow a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol to help manage hyperlipidaemia (high blood fat levels) alongside your medicine.

• Regular physical activity for at least 30 minutes daily can help improve your cholesterol levels and enhance the effectiveness of fenofibrate in managing your lipid profile.
