Epsolin Injection 2ml

Epsolin Injection is used to treat severe epileptic seizures, including status epilepticus. It is also administered to prevent seizures following brain surgery or head injury. The medicine stabilizes abnormal electrical activity in the brain, helping prevent life-threatening seizure episodes.

• A doctor will administer an Epsolin 50 MG Injection. It is not recommended to be self-administered.

Epsolin 50 MG Injection is administered intravenously (IV) as an injection.

• Phenytoin, the main ingredient in Epsolin 50 MG Injection, exhibits an anticonvulsant effect. Phenytoin works by stabilising the electrical activity in the brain, specifically by blocking sodium channels and reducing the abnormal firing of neurons that can lead to seizures.
• By inhibiting abnormal electrical activity in the brain, phenytoin helps prevent or control different types of seizures, including generalised tonic-clonic seizures, complex partial seizures, and status epilepticus.

• Store Epsolin 50 MG Injection at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Epsolin 50 MG Injection away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Maintain a well-balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Avoid excessive consumption of processed foods, sugary snacks, and drinks, as they may contribute to fluctuations in blood sugar levels and potentially trigger seizures.
• Dehydration can increase the risk of seizures. Ensure you drink adequate water throughout the day to maintain proper hydration.
• Stress and anxiety can potentially trigger or worsen seizures. Explore effective stress management techniques that work for you, such as regular exercise, deep breathing exercises, meditation, or engaging in hobbies or activities you enjoy.
• Establish a consistent sleep routine for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Lack of sleep or irregular sleep patterns can lower the seizure threshold and increase the likelihood of seizures.
• Alcohol and certain recreational drugs can interfere with seizure medications and increase the risk of seizures. Strictly avoid alcohol while taking treatment for epilepsy.
