Emrok Injection 100 ML

Emrok Injection is used for the following:

• Treatment of acute bacterial skin infections

• Management of diabetic foot infections

• Fighting bloodstream infections and septicaemia

• Treating lower respiratory tract infections

• Managing bone and joint infections

• Treatment of device-related infections

• Fighting methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections

• Controlling infections caused by medicine-resistant bacteria

• Management of serious bacterial infections in adults

• Treating infections caused by gram-positive bacteria

• Controlling infections caused by gram-negative bacteria

• Managing infections caused by anaerobic bacteria

Follow these instructions when Emrok Injection is administered:

• This medicine is strictly for intravenous use only.

• A doctor must administer this injection.

• The injection is given as an infusion over 90 minutes.

• Do not administer as a quick injection.

• The injection site should be monitored for any reactions.

• Complete the full course of medicine even if you feel better.

• Follow regular dosing intervals as prescribed by your doctor.

Emrok Injection is administered intravenously.

Emrok Injection contains Levonadifloxacin (800 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits bacterial DNA enzymes: Levonadifloxacin works by blocking two essential bacterial enzymes called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are crucial for bacterial DNA replication and growth.

• Prevents bacterial multiplication: By inhibiting these important enzymes, the medicine prevents bacteria from multiplying and spreading in your body, effectively controlling the infection.

• Broad-spectrum activity: Levonadifloxacin is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including anaerobic strains (bacteria that live without oxygen).

• Anti-MRSA action: The medicine shows particular effectiveness against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which is a type of bacteria resistant to many common antibiotics.

• Store Emrok Injection vials below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the vials protected from direct light to maintain effectiveness.

• Do not freeze the injection.

• Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard if expired.
