EMPATRU 25MG TABLET 10 is used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes and may also be used to reduce the risk of heart and kidney complications in eligible adults.

Primary Uses of EMPATRU 25MG TABLET 10 are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Lowers blood sugar when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
• Heart Failure: May help reduce the risk of hospital admission due to heart failure.
• Chronic Kidney Disease: Helps protect kidney function and may help slow the progression of kidney disease.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
• Take the medicine at the same time every day.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.

EMPATRU 25MG TABLET 10 is taken orally.

EMPATRU 25MG TABLET 10 contains empagliflozin (25 mg):

• Empagliflozin blocks the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, preventing glucose reabsorption into the bloodstream. This leads to increased glucose elimination through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Additionally, it helps reduce cardiovascular risks, supports kidney function, and improves outcomes in patients with heart failure.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
   

• Limit high-sugar and high-fat foods to support blood sugar control.
• Drink enough fluids to prevent dehydration.
• Engage in regular exercise such as walking or cycling, as advised by your doctor.
• Inspect your feet daily for cuts or sores, and practise good hygiene.
