Emecure 4mg Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and control nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical procedures. It helps patients tolerate medical treatments and recover more comfortably after surgery.
It contains ondansetron, a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. It works by blocking chemical signals in the brain and gut that trigger the vomiting reflex. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually before chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery.
To support your recovery and manage nausea, eat small, frequent meals throughout the day rather than large ones. Avoid greasy, spicy, or heavy foods, sip fluids slowly, and get plenty of rest after treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any heart conditions (such as an irregular heartbeat or prolonged QT interval), liver problems, or electrolyte imbalances. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
