CompositionDutrich Tablet 10 is used to manage the signs and symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate. Containing dutasteride (5-alpha reductase inhibitor), it relaxes muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, providing relief from lower urinary tract symptoms like dribbling and urinary retention, thus improving the quality of life.
Dutrich Tablet 10 is used in the management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). It provides symptomatic relief in such patients by relieving lower urinary tract symptoms such as difficulty in urination, dribbling of urine, weak stream of urine, and incomplete emptying of the bladder.
Dutrich Tablet 10 should be taken orally.
Dutrich Tablet 10 may cause diarrhoea, dizziness, stuffy nose, headache, or nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and pharynx). If these symptoms persist, contact your healthcare provider.
Some side effects are temporary and harmless, and get resolved by discontinuing the tablet. These may not require medical attention. To combat gastrointestinal side effects, take this tablet with food. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects due to this tablet, consult your doctor.

Avoid alcohol consumption while on this medicine as it can aggravate the orthostatic hypotension caused by this medicine.
Dutrich Tablet 10 should not be given to patients with severe liver disease or impairment. Dose adjustment is needed for mild to moderate liver disease after consultation with a doctor.
Dutrich Tablet 10 should not be given to patients with severe kidney disease or impairment. Dose adjustment is needed for mild to moderate kidney disease after consultation with a doctor.
Dutrich Tablet 10 can cause postural hypotension and dizziness, which can impair driving and machine operating capability. Refrain from such activities while you are taking this medication.
If you are allergic to this medicine or any of its constituents, then do not take it.
Dutrich Tablet 10 is not indicated for use in paediatric patients (<18 years of age)
Dutrich Tablet 10 is to be used with caution in elderly patients with liver or kidney disease as they usually need dose adjustment after consultation from a doctor.

Dutrich Tablet 10 interacts with high-fat or moderate-calorie meals as its consumption can reduce the plasma concentration of this medicine and thus reduce its effect.

The daily dose of Dutrich Tablet 10 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.
If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of this medicine by accident, inform your doctor immediately and follow their advice. The overdose symptoms of this medicine include dizziness, fainting, lightheadedness and blurred vision. Be vigilant and do not ignore these symptoms.
If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However avoid repeating the dose.
