Dutard Sg 0.5 Capsule 10 is used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate (BPH), such as a weak urine stream, frequent nighttime urination, and the feeling that the bladder isn't empty. It helps shrink the prostate over time, making urination much easier and reducing the risk of a complete urinary blockage.
This capsule contains Dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by blocking the production of a specific hormone (DHT) that causes the prostate gland to grow larger. By lowering DHT levels, the prostate gradually shrinks, which relieves the pressure on the tube (urethra) that carries urine out of the body.
This capsule should be swallowed whole once daily, with or without food. It may take several months of regular use to feel the full benefits. Warning: Pregnant women should not handle these capsules, as the medicine can be absorbed through the skin and cause harm to a male fetus.
