Drovenol M Tablet is used to relieve abdominal pain, cramps, and spasms caused by irritable bowel syndrome, painful periods, and gastrointestinal disorders, easing bloating, indigestion and colicky pain.

Uses of Drovenol M Tablet are:

• Abdominal Pain and Colic: Relieves cramping caused by kidney stones, gallbladder colic and digestive spasms.
• Painful Periods: Eases pain from primary dysmenorrhoea.
• Gastrointestinal Discomfort: Reduces bloating, indigestion and colicky pain.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Take the medicine with or after meals to minimise potential stomach discomfort.

• Always take the medicine in the dosage and frequency prescribed by your doctor.

• If you decide to stop taking this medicine, consult your doctor first.

Drovenol M Tablet 10 works in the human body in the following ways:

• Drotaverine (80 mg): This ingredient selectively inhibits the phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for the degradation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a compound found inside cells. By inhibiting the PDE4 enzyme, drotaverine increases cAMP levels, leading to the relaxation of smooth muscles in the gut and other internal organs, helping relieve cramps, spasms, and colic.

• Mefenamic acid (250 mg): Mefenamic acid works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, responsible for producing prostaglandins (chemical substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever). By blocking prostaglandin synthesis, mefenamic acid provides pain relief.

• Store Drovenol M Tablet 10 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep it away from excess heat, light, and moisture.

• Always ensure the tablet container is tightly closed.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.
