Dompan Forte Tablet is commonly used for managing GERD, peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other digestive disorders marked by excess stomach acid production, easing both symptoms and underlying causes.

Uses of Dompan Forte Tablet are:

• GERD: Eases discomfort caused by stomach acid backing up into the food pipe.
• Peptic Ulcers: Helps heal sores that develop in the stomach lining.
• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Manages this rare condition that leads to excess acid production.

When taking Dompan Forte Tablet, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Do not chew, crush or split the tablet.

• Always take this medicine 15 to 30 minutes before meals.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Dompan Forte Tablet is taken orally.

Dompan Forte Tablet consists of the following two components:

• Domperidone (15mg): Domperidone is a dopamine receptor antagonist that primarily acts on the D2 and D3 receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and the gastrointestinal tract. By blocking these receptors, domperidone enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, making it effective in treating conditions such as nausea, vomiting, and gastroparesis.

• Pantoprazole (40mg): Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by irreversibly blocking the hydrogen/potassium ATPase enzyme system (the proton pump) in the parietal cells of the stomach. This action reduces the production of gastric acid, providing relief from acid-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. By lowering stomach acid levels, pantoprazole helps heal acid damage to the stomach and oesophagus, alleviates symptoms like heartburn, and prevents ulcers from forming.

• Store Dompan Forte Tablet in a cool, dark place.

• Keep it in a dry place, shielding it from light and moisture.

• Ensure the tablet is kept away from children's reach.

• If you're managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with Dompan Forte Tablet, try to reduce your intake of spicy and fatty foods. These can trigger heartburn and other symptoms.

• Regularly engage in gentle physical activities like walking or yoga. This can aid digestion and potentially decrease episodes of acid reflux associated with GERD.
