Divaa Solution 250 is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Divaa Solution 250:

• Use the measuring cup or spoon provided to measure the correct dose.

• Take this medicine with or without food, as advised by your doctor.

• Do not use household spoons as they may not give the correct amount.

• Store the bottle tightly closed at room temperature.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

• GABA enhancement: Divalproex increases levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain that helps calm excessive electrical activity.

• Sodium channel inhibition: It blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in brain cells, reducing their ability to rapidly fire and spread electrical signals that can trigger seizures.

• Calcium channel modulation: Divalproex inhibits T-type calcium channels, which play a role in certain types of seizure activity and mood disorders.

• NMDA receptor regulation: It modifies the activity of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) glutamate receptors, which are involved in some forms of epilepsy and mood disorders.

• Histone deacetylase inhibition: Divalproex affects gene expression by inhibiting enzymes called histone deacetylases, which may contribute to its mood-stabilising properties.

• Protect the medicine from light exposure.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
