Difizma Capsule 10

Difizma Capsule is used for the following:

• Maintenance treatment of asthma in adults: This medicine helps manage the symptoms of asthma by keeping the airways open and reducing inflammation.

• Management of bronchial smooth muscle relaxation: By acting on specific receptors, it helps relax the muscles around your airways, making it easier for you to breathe.

• Reduction of inflammation and swelling in the airways: It contains an ingredient that decreases inflammation, reducing swelling in your airways.

Here's how to properly use Difizma Capsule:

• Remember that the capsules are meant for inhalation only. Do not swallow them.

• Use the inhaler provided (Lupihaler) to inhale the contents of one Difizma Capsule once daily.

• Make sure you administer this medicine at the same time each day to ensure consistent effects.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, do not take two doses on the same day.

• Always use Difizma Capsule under your doctor's guidance. If you have any doubts or questions, consult your doctor.

Difizma Capsule is administered through inhalation.

Difizma Capsule contains three active ingredients:

• Glycopyrrolate / Glycopyrronium (63 mcg): As a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) bronchodilator, it works by blocking acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors in your bronchial smooth muscle. This action results in bronchodilation or widening of the airways.

• Indacaterol (173 mcg): Classified as an ultra long-acting beta2adrenergic agonist (ultraLABA), indacaterol stimulates adrenergic beta2 receptors located in your lungs. This aids in relaxing the bronchial smooth muscle and further promotes bronchodilation.

• Mometasone (160 mcg): This ingredient is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that exhibits strong anti-inflammatory effects. It effectively reduces inflammation and swelling within your airways, further aiding in better breathing.

• Store Difizma Capsule at a cool room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep the capsules in a dry place, protected from direct heat or sunlight.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• It's important to use Difizma Capsule before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• Try to maintain a healthy weight; obesity can make breathing more difficult and exacerbate asthma symptoms. Regular exercise, with your doctor's approval, can help manage your weight and improve lung function.

• Avoid exposure to allergens or irritants like smoke, dust, or pet dander that may trigger an asthma attack. Ensure your living environment is clean and free from these triggers as much as possible.
