Dapagliflozin (5 Mg)

DAPMED 5 TABLET 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It also helps protect the heart and kidneys, and is used in some people with heart failure or chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of complications.

It contains dapagliflozin, which belongs to a group of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors. It works by helping the kidneys remove excess sugar and salt from the body in the urine. Take it daily, with or without food, as prescribed.

Staying well hydrated, keeping up good personal hygiene to reduce the risk of infections, a balanced diet and regular activity support better control alongside this medicine.

Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or repeated urinary or genital infections before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report severe stomach pain with vomiting, signs of dehydration, or symptoms of a urinary or genital infection.

DAPMED 5 TABLET 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes and to protect the heart and kidneys, and is used in some people with heart failure or chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of complications.

Uses of DAPMED 5 TABLET 10 are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps lower and control blood sugar.

• Heart Failure: Helps reduce the risk of hospital admission for heart failure.

• Kidney Protection: Helps protect the kidneys in chronic kidney disease.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.
The medicine can be taken in the morning, either before or after meals.
Always stick to your doctor's recommended dose and never exceed it without consulting your doctor.
