Cusena Tablet is used to ease occasional constipation and encourage regular bowel movements, particularly where straining needs to be avoided, such as after surgery or a heart attack, in adults and children above 6 years old.

• Occasional Constipation: Softens hard stools to make bowel movements easier.
• Avoiding Straining: Encourages regular bowel movements after surgery or a heart attack, when straining could be harmful.

Here's how you should take Cusena Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

Cusena Tablet is taken orally.

Cusena Tablet consists of two active components:

• Docusate sodium (100 mg): As a surfactant, docusate sodium makes it easier for water and fats to penetrate the stool. This action increases the amount of water absorbed by the stool, making it softer and easier to pass. This ingredient does not directly stimulate bowel movements.

• Senna glucosides (86 mg): These natural laxatives derived from the senna plant get converted into an active form by intestinal bacteria. This active form irritates the lining of the bowels leading to peristalsis wave-like muscle contractions that move stool through the intestines. Senna also inhibits water absorption from the stool, thereby keeping it soft.

• Store Cusena Tablet at room temperature, specifically between 15-30°C.

• Ensure it is kept away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Place it in a location that's out of reach for children to ensure safety.

• Always check the expiry date before use and never consume expired medicine.

• Increase your intake of fibre-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This can aid bowel movements, making Cusena Tablet more effective for managing constipation.
