Duscosoft Tablet 10 is utilised for the following:

• Encouraging regular bowel movements in patients' post-surgery or after a heart attack
• Mitigating straining during bowel movements when it is harmful
• Aiding bowel regulation in adults and children above 6 years old

Duscosoft Tablet 10 consists of two active components:

• Docusate sodium (100 mg): As a surfactant, docusate sodium makes it easier for water and fats to penetrate the stool. This action increases the amount of water absorbed by the stool, making it softer and easier to pass. This ingredient does not directly stimulate bowel movements.
• Senna glucosides (86 mg): These natural laxatives derived from the senna plant get converted into an active form by intestinal bacteria. This active form irritates the lining of the bowels leading to peristalsis wave-like muscle contractions that move stool through the intestines. Senna also inhibits water absorption from the stool, thereby keeping it soft.
