Creon 10000 Capsule is used to treat pancreatic enzyme deficiency, a condition where the body cannot digest food properly due to pancreatic dysfunction. This can be caused by disorders like cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, or pancreatectomy (removal of the pancreas or part of it). Creon 10000 Capsule is used to treat exocrine pancreatic insufficiency by replacing digestive enzymes. It contains Pancreatin , a combination of enzymes that aid in the digestion of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

Take Creon 10000 Capsule with a glass of water.
Swallow the capsule as a whole; do not crush or chew it.
This medication should be taken with or after a meal.

Creon 10000 Capsule should be taken orally.

Common side effects of Creon 10000 Capsule are:

Stomach pain
Nausea
Vomiting
Constipation
Bloating
Diarrhoea

Creon 10000 Capsule contains the following component:

Pancreatin (150 mg): It is an enzyme mixture of proteases, lipases and amylases. These enzymes break down complex food substances into simple and smaller ones, easily digested by the body. The simplest forms of food absorbed inside the body are amino acids, fatty acids and short-chain sugars like maltose. They mimic the pancreas enzymes, which are naturally secreted inside the body for digestion.

Pregnancy

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant if this medicine is prescribed to you as your doctor will determine the dosage of this capsule to be given to you.

Breastfeeding

Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding if this medicine is prescribed to you as your doctor will determine the dosage of this capsule to be given to you.

Alcohol

Avoid alcohol while taking Creon 10000 Capsule to avoid any adverse effects.

Liver

Exercise caution when using Creon 10000 Capsule in individuals with liver issues. It is advisable to seek guidance from your doctor before initiating this medication if you are suffering from liver disease. This capsule can increase liver enzymes.

Kidney
