Cort-S Injection is a corticosteroid medicine used to treat severe inflammatory, allergic, and autoimmune conditions affecting various parts of the body, as well as hormone deficiency states.
It contains hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and suppresses overactive immune responses. It is administered directly into a vein or muscle by a doctor or healthcare professional as prescribed. Do not stop corticosteroid treatment abruptly, as gradual dose reduction under medical supervision is necessary to prevent adrenal insufficiency.
Adopting supportive health measures during systemic corticosteroid treatment is recommended. This includes maintaining balanced nutrition with adequate calcium and vitamin D intake, monitoring blood pressure, and limiting salt intake if swelling occurs.
Before receiving this medicine, tell your doctor if you have active infections, high blood pressure, diabetes, stomach ulcers, kidney or liver conditions, or osteoporosis. Inform your doctor promptly if you develop signs of infection, severe mood changes, or unusual fluid retention.
