Combimist-L Respicap is used to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. It is a combination bronchodilator medicine containing ipratropium (an anticholinergic) and levosalbutamol (a beta-2 agonist).
It helps relax the airway muscles, ease breathing and prevent shortness of breath, and it helps manage related symptoms such as wheezing, coughing and chest tightness. Use it only through the inhaler device in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Avoid smoking and exposure to smoke, dust and strong fumes, which can worsen breathing problems. Practise breathing exercises and stay as active as your doctor advises.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any pre-existing conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you use. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, difficulty passing urine, or breathing or wheezing that gets worse after use. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
