Colozo Capsule is used to manage chronic idiopathic constipation in adults. It contains linaclotide, which belongs to a group of medicines called guanylate cyclase-C receptor agonists.
This medicine may also be used to manage irritable bowel syndrome with constipation in adults, where approved for this use. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. The capsule should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal, and swallowed whole without crushing or chewing it.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Also inform your doctor about any other medicines, supplements, laxatives or herbal products you are taking. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. If you develop severe or prolonged diarrhoea, contact your doctor promptly. Report any persistent or serious side effects to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless advised by your doctor.
