Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of acute gout attacks

• Prevention of recurring gout flares

• Managing pain and inflammation from gouty arthritis

• Reducing swelling associated with gout

• Control of familial Mediterranean fever

• Prevention of fever episodes in familial Mediterranean fever

• Reducing amyloid protein production

• Prevention of amyloidosis development

• Management of organ dysfunction from protein accumulation

Follow these instructions while taking Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine exactly as your doctor has advised.

• You may take Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 with or without food.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your condition.

Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 contains Colchicine (0.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of white blood cell migration: Colchicine prevents white blood cells from moving to areas affected by inflammation caused by uric acid crystals, which helps reduce the pain and swelling associated with gout attacks.

• Anti-inflammatory effect: It reduces inflammation at the affected joints by interfering with the inflammatory response triggered by uric acid crystals.

• Protein regulation: In patients with familial Mediterranean fever, colchicine reduces the production of amyloid proteins, which can accumulate in organs and cause dysfunction.

• Store Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place.

• Keep away from direct heat, moisture, and sunlight.

• Store it in the original packaging to protect it from environmental exposure.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use Colchiheal 0.5 Tablet 10 after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Limit purine-rich foods: Reduce your intake of red meat, seafood, and organ meats as these can increase uric acid levels in your body, potentially triggering gout attacks.

• Stay well-hydrated: Drink plenty of water (2-3 litres daily) to help flush excess uric acid from your system and reduce the risk of crystal formation in your joints.
