Clopid Tablet is used in adults to prevent harmful blood clots, lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, and chest pain (angina). It is often used in people who have heart disease or who have had a previous heart attack or stroke.
It contains clopidogrel, an antiplatelet medicine that stops blood cells called platelets from sticking together to form clots. Take with or without food, exactly as prescribed. Do not stop it without speaking to your doctor, as this can raise the risk of a clot.
Following your doctor's advice on other heart medicines, diet, and activity all help alongside this medicine. Tell anyone treating you, including your dentist, that you take it.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, stomach ulcers, or liver or kidney problems, or if you have surgery planned. Report any unusual or prolonged bleeding, black stools, or blood in the urine without delay.
