CompositionCewap O 200/200 Mg Tablet 10 is used to treat bacterial infections. It contains cefpodoxime proxetil, a cephalosporin antibiotic that is converted to cefpodoxime in the body, combined with ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, giving it a broad range of action against many bacteria.
This medicine is used for infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and certain sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhoea. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and complete the full course even if you start feeling better.
Getting adequate rest and drinking plenty of fluids can support recovery alongside this medicine. Avoid taking magnesium or aluminium-containing antacids close to your dose, as these can reduce its absorption; leave a gap of at least two hours.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin, cephalosporin or fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or have any tendon problems, epilepsy or kidney disease. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you notice tendon pain or swelling, severe loose motions (diarrhoea), or signs of an allergic reaction.
