CompositionCarvidon-OD 80 Capsule is used to help prevent and manage the chest pain of stable angina, easing chest pain, breathlessness and fatigue by helping the heart use its energy and oxygen more efficiently.
It contains trimetazidine, a metabolic anti-anginal medicine. It works by improving how the heart muscle uses energy, so it copes better with a reduced blood supply. It is often used when other angina medicines are not enough.
Take it as prescribed, usually with meals, and continue it long term. It is for prevention and does not relieve a sudden angina attack.
Do not use it if you have Parkinson's disease or certain movement disorders. Tell your doctor about any kidney problems before use, and report new tremor, stiffness or unsteadiness.
