Carvidon MR Tablet is used to treat chronic stable angina and prevent chest pain episodes. It is a single-ingredient anti-anginal medicine containing trimetazidine in a modified-release form.
This medicine helps reduce how often angina attacks happen and lets you do physical activities with less discomfort. It is often used alongside other heart medicines. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Avoiding heavy meals and sudden strenuous effort, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol and staying active within the limits your doctor advises can help reduce angina episodes.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems or a movement disorder such as Parkinson's disease, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report any tremor, unsteadiness or difficulty with movement. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
