CompositionC Tri 500 Injection 1 is an antibiotic used to treat a wide range of serious bacterial infections, including those of the chest, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints, the abdomen, and the covering of the brain (meningitis).
It contains ceftriaxone, a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping bacteria building their protective cell wall, which kills them.
It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse, who sets the dose and course.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins, or any liver, kidney or gallbladder problems, before use. Report a rash, swelling or severe diarrhoea.
