Travacom Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Reducing high pressure in the eyes associated with open-angle glaucoma: This condition is due to fluid build-up in the eye which can damage the optic nerve and cause vision loss.

• Managing ocular hypertension: This condition involves increased pressure within the eye, without any signs of glaucoma.

Use Travacom Eye Drops as follows:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before use.

• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid gently to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper directly over your eye and squeeze out the prescribed amount of drops.

• Close your eye gently and press your finger to the inside corner of your eye for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

Travacom Eye Drops comprise two active components:

• Travoprost (0.004%): Travoprost is a prostaglandin F2α analogue that works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humour mainly through a route known as the uveoscleral pathway.

• Timolol (0.5%): As a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent, timolol acts by reducing aqueous humour production inside your eye, subsequently lowering the intraocular pressure.

The combined effect of these ingredients helps better manage high intraocular pressure compared to when each component is used individually.

• Keep Travacom Eye Drops upright, stored at a temperature below 30°C.

• Protect the bottle from light and prevent it from freezing.

• Ensure the bottle is securely closed to protect against air and moisture.
