Amlan S 2.5 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Management of chronic stable angina

• Management of vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina

• Prevention of complications related to high blood pressure (e.g., stroke, heart attack)

• Improving blood flow to the heart muscle

• Relief of chest pain from coronary artery disease

• Decreasing workload on the heart

Follow these instructions while taking Amlan S 2.5 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Continue taking the medicine regularly, even when feeling well.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

• Avoid taking a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Amlan S 2.5 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Amlan S 2.5 MG Tablet 10 contains s-amlodipine (2.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Calcium Channel Blockade: S-amlodipine blocks specific channels (L-type calcium channels) in blood vessel walls, preventing calcium from entering the muscle cells of arteries.

• Vascular Smooth Muscle Relaxation: By inhibiting calcium influx, the medicine causes the walls of arteries to relax, leading to widening of blood vessels (vasodilation).

• Peripheral Vascular Resistance Reduction: The relaxation of blood vessels decreases the resistance to blood flow throughout the body, which directly lowers blood pressure.
