Amiodon Injection is an injectable medicine used to treat severe, life-threatening irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) when other medicines cannot be used or are ineffective. It helps restore and stabilise a normal heart rhythm in critical situations.
It contains amiodarone, a Class III antiarrhythmic agent. This injection is administered under direct medical supervision in a hospital or clinic setting. The dose and rate of administration are carefully adjusted by your care team based on your heart monitoring results.
Following all instructions from your cardiac care team and attending scheduled follow-up evaluations helps ensure safe ongoing treatment.
Before receiving this medicine, tell your healthcare team about any history of thyroid problems, liver disease, severe slow heart rate, or lung conditions. Because amiodarone contains high iodine levels, regular thyroid, liver, and lung monitoring may be required.
