Altraday Capsule is used to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in long-term joint conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is a combination medicine containing aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID), and rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that lowers stomach acid.
This medicine is prescribed for people who need an anti-inflammatory painkiller and are at risk of stomach irritation. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, at the lowest dose that works for the shortest time needed, and swallow the capsule whole without opening, crushing or chewing it.
Staying active within comfortable limits, gentle exercise and keeping a healthy weight can reduce strain on the joints alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a stomach ulcer or bleeding now or in the past, heart disease, a previous stroke, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems or asthma, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor about other medicines you take, especially other painkillers and blood thinners. It must not be taken in the last three months of pregnancy. Seek medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain or breathlessness. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
