Advagraf 5 MG Capsule Pr 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of organ rejection after transplantation
• Management of liver transplant complications
• Prevention of kidney and heart transplant rejection
• Management of atopic dermatitis
• Treatment of severe rheumatoid arthritis
• Suppression of excessive immune responses
• Management of autoimmune conditions

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Take this medicine on an empty stomach, at least one hour before meals or two hours after meals.
• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.
• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your blood.
• Store the medicine at room temperature, away from moisture and light.

Advagraf 5 MG Capsule Pr 10 is taken orally.

This capsule contains tacrolimus (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of calcineurin: Tacrolimus forms a complex with a protein called FKBP in your body, which then blocks an enzyme called calcineurin that plays a key role in activating your immune system.
• T-cell suppression: By inhibiting calcineurin, tacrolimus prevents the activation of T-cells, which are white blood cells responsible for attacking foreign substances in your body.
• Reduced immune response: The suppression of T-cells leads to a decreased immune response, which helps prevent your body from rejecting transplanted organs.
• Prevention of cytokine production: Tacrolimus reduces the production of certain proteins called cytokines that normally help coordinate immune system attacks against foreign tissues.
