• Preventing organ rejection in adults who have undergone kidney transplantation

• Reducing the risk of organ rejection in adults post-liver transplantation

• Managing allograft rejection that is resistant to other immunosuppressive agents in adult patients

Here's how you should take Advagraf 0.5 mg Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the capsule.

• Ensure you do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Advagraf 0.5 mg Capsule contains tacrolimus (0.5 mg) which executes its action in the following ways:

• Binding to FKBP-12: Tacrolimus binds to an intracellular protein called FKBP-12. This protein plays a key role in the function of our immune system.

• Inhibiting Calcineurin: The complex formed by tacrolimus and FKBP-12 inhibits calcineurin, a phosphatase involved in T-cell activation. T-cells are a type of white blood cell crucial for our immune response.

• Suppressing T-cell Activation: By inhibiting calcineurin, tacrolimus suppresses T-cell activation. This reduces the immune response, helping prevent allograft rejection.
