Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment 5gm interacts with the following medicines:

• Systemic medicines:  Tacrolimus can interact with systemic medicines such as antifungals (such as ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole), some antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin), calcium channel blockers (verapamil, diltiazem), and antacids containing magnesium or aluminium, all of which may increase tacrolimus blood levels and its side effects.

Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment 5gm interacts with the following diseases:

• Ocular Infections: Do not use tacrolimus eye ointment if there is an active viral, bacterial, or fungal eye infection (e.g., conjunctivitis, herpes simplex, or keratitis), as the immunosuppressive property may worsen the disease or delay recovery.
• Weakened Immune System: Use with caution in individuals with weakened immune systems, whether due to disease or medication, as the risk of ocular infections may be increased.
• Severe Dry Eye Syndromes or Corneal Disorders: Extra monitoring may be required, as the ointment’s immunomodulating action might change local healing or infection risks in already compromised eyes.

Your doctor will guide you on how often to apply Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment 5gm based on your specific condition and response to the medication. Always stick to the prescribed dosage without any alterations unless advised by your doctor.

Using more than the prescribed amount may lead to increased eye irritation, blurred vision, or discomfort. If symptoms worsen, rinse your eye with clean water and seek medical advice.

In case you forgot to apply Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment 5gm at the scheduled time, do so as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never apply extra ointment without consulting your doctor.
