Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml

Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml is used for the following purposes:

• Diagnostic Pupil Dilation: To enable better examination of the eye during fundoscopic or slit-lamp procedures.
• Pre-Operative Use: To dilate the pupil before surgeries such as cataract removal. 
• Post-Operative Management: To prevent pupil constriction following surgery.

To use Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml, follow these steps:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before application.
• Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket. 
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the eye without touching the dropper tip to the eye or surrounding surfaces. 
• Close your eyes for 1–2 minutes and gently press on the inner corner of your eye to prevent drainage. 
• Replace the cap immediately after use. 
• Avoid blinking excessively or rubbing your eyes post-application.

Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml is administered topically into the eye.

Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml contains three ingredients:

• Phenylephrine (5%): It stimulates alpha-1 receptors in the iris dilator muscle, leading to pupil dilation. It also constricts conjunctival blood vessels, reducing eye redness.
• Tropicamide (0.8%): It blocks muscarinic receptors in the iris sphincter and ciliary muscle, causing further dilation and paralysis of the accommodation reflex.
• Chlorbutol (0.5%): It acts as an antimicrobial preservative to prevent bacterial contamination. 

• Store Tm Plus Eye Drops 5ml at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Do not freeze. 
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. 
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Limit exposure to bright lights during the dilation period; wear protective sunglasses. 
• Refrain from reading or screen use while experiencing blurred vision. 
• Avoid strenuous physical activity that requires visual accuracy until vision normalises.
