Aclind Bp 5% Gel 15gm

Aclind Bp 5% Gel 15gm may interact with the following medicines:

• Other acne medicines (e.g., tretinoin, isotretinoin, tazarotene): Concurrent application may increase skin irritation. Your doctor may advise applying the medicines at different times of the day.
• Topical antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin): Erythromycin may reduce the effectiveness of clindamycin when used together.
• Skin-irritating products (e.g., abrasive cleansers, alcohol-based cosmetics): Combined use may increase redness and dryness.
• Medicines containing dapsone or sulfacetamide: Temporary yellow or orange discolouration of skin or facial hair may occur.

No significant interactions are known.

Aclind Bp 5% Gel 15gm should be used with caution in the following conditions:

• Ulcerative colitis or antibiotic-associated colitis: Topical clindamycin may rarely cause intestinal inflammation. Inform your doctor if you develop severe or persistent diarrhoea.
• Regional enteritis (Crohn’s disease): Patients with inflammatory bowel disease should use this medicine under medical supervision.
• Sensitive or damaged skin: Application to broken or irritated skin may increase absorption and irritation.

Apply Aclind Bp 5% Gel 15gm exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually applied once or twice daily, depending on the severity of acne and your response to treatment. Apply a thin layer to the affected area regularly for best results. Treatment may take several weeks before noticeable improvement occurs. Do not stop applying the medicine early unless advised by your doctor.

Applying excessive amounts may increase skin irritation, redness, and peeling, but is unlikely to cause serious harm. If severe irritation occurs, stop applying the medicine and consult your doctor.

If you forget to apply a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed application and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply extra amounts to make up for a missed dose.
