Acebrophylline (200 Mg)

Abevia-200 SR Tablet is used to help manage the wheeze and breathlessness of asthma, chronic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), by relaxing the muscles around the airways to ease breathing.

It contains a xanthine-type bronchodilator in a slow-release form. It works by relaxing and opening the airways so air moves more easily.

Swallow the tablet whole as prescribed, and take it regularly. It is for ongoing management, not for a sudden breathing attack.

Tell your doctor about any heart problems, stomach ulcers or thyroid problems before use, and about other medicines, as several interact. Limit caffeine, and report palpitations, a fast heartbeat, being sick or marked restlessness, which can mean the level in the body is too high.
