CompositionAB Mal Injection 2ml is used to treat severe malaria, including cerebral malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum strains, when other medicines are not effective. It contains artemotil, an artemisinin derivative, which acts rapidly to kill the malaria parasites.
This medicine is also used in managing acute, uncomplicated cases of falciparum malaria, including chloroquine-resistant cases. It proves particularly useful when oral administration of antimalarial medicines is not feasible, such as during severe illness or in scenarios where swallowing pills is difficult.
