Lanum Plus Tablet 10

Lanum Plus Tablet is used for managing high blood phosphate levels (hyperphosphatemia) in patients with chronic kidney disease. It is formulated with Calcium Acetate (435 mg) and Magnesium Carbonate (235 mg), two effective phosphate binders that reduce phosphate absorption from the digestive tract. This helps maintain normal phosphate levels in the blood, managing complications such as bone disorders and soft tissue calcification. Calcium acetate binds dietary phosphate, while magnesium carbonate enhances phosphate removal and balances mineral levels.

• Calcium Acetate (435 mg): Calcium acetate acts as a phosphate binder. In individuals with chronic kidney disease, phosphate excretion is impaired, leading to high phosphate levels in the blood (hyperphosphatemia). Calcium acetate binds to dietary phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract, forming insoluble calcium phosphate, which is then excreted in the stool. This helps reduce phosphate absorption and maintains healthy phosphate levels.
   
• Magnesium Carbonate (235 mg): Magnesium carbonate is another effective phosphate binder that works alongside calcium acetate. It binds phosphate in the gut to limit its absorption and helps lower elevated phosphate levels in patients undergoing dialysis. Additionally, it may reduce the risk of developing high calcium levels (hypercalcemia), offering a balanced approach to phosphate control.
