Itmus 2 % Soap is used for managing fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, and dandruff. It is formulated with 2% Ketoconazole, a powerful antifungal agent that helps eliminate fungus and relieve symptoms like itching, redness, and scaling. It is a topical antifungal solution designed to manage various fungal skin conditions. Ketoconazole in the soap inhibits ergosterol synthesis, disrupting fungal cell membranes and leading to fungal death. It is effective against pityriasis versicolor and can be used alongside other regimens for diaper rash, eczema, and psoriasis. 

• Ketoconazole (2%): Ketoconazole is a potent antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This action weakens the fungal cells, increases membrane permeability, and ultimately leads to the death of the fungus. It is effective against a wide range of dermatophytes and yeasts, making it ideal for managing infections like athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, dandruff, and pityriasis versicolor.

• For Fungal Infections: Itmus 2% Soap is highly effective in managing common fungal infections like athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis), and jock itch (tinea cruris). Ketoconazole disrupts the fungal cell membrane, stopping the growth and spreading of fungi, thereby clearing the infection.
   
• Dandruff Control: Dandruff is often caused by a fungal overgrowth on the scalp. Ketoconazole in Itmus 2% Soap helps reduce fungal load, controls flaking, and soothes scalp irritation. It helps maintain a healthier scalp and reduces recurrence.
   
• Manages Pityriasis Versicolor: This skin condition causes small, discoloured patches, usually on the chest or back. Ketoconazole targets the yeast responsible for this condition, helping to restore the skin's normal pigmentation and texture over time.
   
• Supports Management of Fungal-Aggravated Conditions: Conditions like eczema, diaper rash, impetigo, and psoriasis can worsen due to secondary fungal infections. Itmus 2% Soap can be used along with other medications to reduce fungal aggravation and support faster recovery.
   
• Relieves Skin Discomfort: Itmus 2% Soap helps ease symptoms like itching, redness, burning, and scaling associated with fungal infections. Its antifungal and cleansing properties provide relief and promote healing of affected skin or scalp areas.

• Wet the affected skin (including scalp or body) with clean water.
• Rub the Itmus soap bar gently over the infected area to create a lather.
• Leave the lather on the skin for about 1–2 minutes (unless your doctor advises otherwise).
• Rinse thoroughly with water, making sure no soap residue remains.
• Pat dry the area with a clean towel.
