Vivocet 25 Tablet 14 is used for the following:

• Treatment of partial onset seizures

• Managing focal seizures in epilepsy

• Add-on therapy for uncontrolled epilepsy

• Monotherapy for epileptic disorders

• Controlling seizures in adults with epilepsy

• Stabilising abnormal electrical activity in the brain

• Prevention of seizure recurrence

• Maintenance therapy for epilepsy patients

• Long-term seizure management

Follow these instructions while taking Vivocet 25 Tablet 14:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for the best results.

Vivocet 25 Tablet 14 is taken orally.

Vivocet 25 Tablet 14 contains brivaracetam (25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Synaptic vesicle protein binding: Brivaracetam selectively binds to a protein called synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A) located on the surface of nerve cells in your brain, helping to stabilise electrical activity.

• Seizure reduction: By binding to SV2A, this medicine helps suppress excessive electrical activity in brain cells, effectively reducing both how often seizures occur and how severe they are.

• Selective action: Unlike some other anti-epileptic medicines, brivaracetam shows high selectivity and strong affinity specifically for the SV2A protein, which contributes to its effectiveness in controlling seizures.

• Normal function preservation: The medicine works by suppressing abnormal brain activity without completely blocking normal brain function, allowing you to maintain regular cognitive activities while controlling seizures.

• Store Vivocet 25 Tablet 14 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Maintain the tablets in their original packaging, tightly closed.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Maintain a regular sleep schedule with consistent bedtimes and wake times to help reduce seizure triggers, as sleep deprivation can lower the seizure threshold (the point at which your brain is likely to have a seizure).

• Consider keeping a seizure diary to track potential triggers like missed meals, stress, or certain foods, which can help you identify and avoid personal seizure patterns.
