Vexifix O Tablet 10 is used for managing the following conditions:

• Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis: This condition involves sudden worsening of symptoms in chronic bronchitis due to a bacterial infection.
• Community-acquired pneumonia: This is a type of pneumonia contracted by individuals in community settings like hospitals.
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections: These are simple and straightforward infections in the urinary tract.
• Complicated urinary tract infections: These are urinary tract infections that occur in people with structural abnormalities, like kidney stones, or functional problems that obstruct urine flow.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhoea: This is an uncomplicated sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
• Acute uncomplicated cystitis: This is a sudden onset of inflammation in the bladder.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• This medication can be taken with or without food.

Vexifix O Tablet 10 consists of two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (200 mg): It works by interrupting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It attaches to specific proteins within the bacterial cell wall, preventing the linkage of peptidoglycan chains, which are crucial for the strength and rigidity of the bacterial cell wall. This weakens the cell wall, causing it to break.
• Ofloxacin (200 mg): A part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, it works by impeding enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By inhibiting these enzymes, known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, it disrupts DNA synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.

This combination provides a wide range of effectiveness against numerous gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
