VESIFA 5 Tablet 10 is used for:

• Managing symptoms of overactive bladder, a condition where the bladder muscles contract uncontrollably

• Reducing urinary urgency, a sudden powerful need to urinate immediately

• Lowering urinary frequency, the need to urinate often

• Controlling urge incontinence, which is leaking urine following a strong urge to urinate

• Decreasing nocturia, the need to wake up at night to urinate

Here's how you should take VESIFA 5 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take your medicine at the same time every day for consistency.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's nearly time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Never double up on doses.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on using this medication.

VESIFA 5 Tablet 10 contains Solifenacin (5 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Muscarinic Receptor Antagonism: Solifenacin acts as a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist. This means it competes with another substance called acetylcholine that usually causes bladder muscle contractions.

• Reduces Involuntary Contractions: By blocking the action of acetylcholine on M3 muscarinic receptors present in the bladder muscle, solifenacin reduces involuntary contractions of these muscles.

• Increases Bladder Capacity: The reduced contractions lead to an increased capacity of the bladder.

• Delays Urge to Urinate: Because of its mechanism of action, solifenacin manages to delay the initial urgency to urinate.

• Decreases Urinary Urgency and Frequency: Overall, this leads to a decrease in urinary urgency and frequency.

• Store VESIFA 5 Tablet 10 in a closed container at room temperature under 30°C.
