Vepan 500 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the upper respiratory tract, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis. It is also prescribed for skin and soft tissue infections and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Vepan 500 Tablet contains cefadroxil (500 mg), which acts on your body in the following way:

• Inhibit Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefadroxil works by binding to and disabling penicillinbinding proteins found in the bacterial cell wall. These proteins are crucial for forming a layer called peptidoglycan that strengthens the cell wall.

• Kill Bacteria: By disrupting the synthesis of the peptidoglycan layer, cefadroxil weakens the bacterial cell wall causing the bacteria to lyse or break down. This helps in eliminating the bacteria from your body effectively.

• Keep Vepan 500 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.

• Protect the medicine from exposure to light.

• Make sure it is stored in a tight, sealed container.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
