Veltam-S Tablet is used in adult men to manage lower urinary tract symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia, including nocturia, frequent urination, and a weak urine stream.

Uses of Veltam-S Tablet are:

• Frequent Urination: Reduces the frequency of urination episodes caused by BPH.
• Weak Urine Stream: Eases weak urine flow and difficulty starting urination.
• Incomplete Bladder Emptying: Helps improve complete emptying of the bladder.
• Nocturia: Reduces the need to wake up at night to urinate.

You should use Veltam-S Tablet as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's important not to crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Veltam-S Tablet is a combination medicine and its two active ingredients work separately on the body:

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This component helps in relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. By blocking the alpha-1 receptors, it reduces the tone of these muscles, making it easier to urinate. Tamsulosin aids in improving urine flow rate and reduces the risk of acute urinary retention.

• Solifenacin (5 mg): This ingredient reduces the contractions of the bladder muscles. It does this by binding to the muscarinic receptors in the bladder and prevents another molecule, acetylcholine, from stimulating these receptors. This action helps in decreasing the frequency and intensity of involuntary bladder contractions, increases bladder capacity, and delays the initial urge to urinate.
