Veltam-S Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing lower urinary tract symptoms in adult men with benign prostatic hyperplasia

• Reducing frequent urination episodes

• Easing weak urine stream issues

• Overcoming difficulty starting urination

• Helping to completely empty the bladder

• Addressing nocturia, the condition of waking up at night to urinate

You should use Veltam-S Tablet as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's important not to crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Veltam-S Tablet is taken orally.

Veltam-S Tablet is a combination medicine and its two active ingredients work separately on the body:

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This component helps in relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. By blocking the alpha-1 receptors, it reduces the tone of these muscles, making it easier to urinate. Tamsulosin aids in improving urine flow rate and reduces the risk of acute urinary retention.

• Solifenacin (5 mg): This ingredient reduces the contractions of the bladder muscles. It does this by binding to the muscarinic receptors in the bladder and prevents another molecule, acetylcholine, from stimulating these receptors. This action helps in decreasing the frequency and intensity of involuntary bladder contractions, increases bladder capacity, and delays the initial urge to urinate.

• Store your Veltam-S Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep your medicine in its original packaging to protect it from moisture.
